Wedding in Great Torrington Town Hall


Torrington Town & Community Hall has some stunning and practical rooms available for hire. Our individual rooms can be used for a number of events and activities ranging from, weddings, funeral teas  or life celebration, seminars, private functions and parties, meetings. The Great Hall, Facility for hire, function room

This impressive hall, which was once the local magistrate’s court, gives a historic setting for weddings, receptions, parties, post-funeral get togethers, and corporate events. The majestic hall houses an historic art collection of local and national interest.
We can accommodate approximately 100 for seated reception, and 150 in a conference-style setting.

Oak Room, Function room, ceremony room for hire

An imposing Staircase leads to the Oak Room, which is fully licensed for wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships. This oak-panelled room can accommodate a wedding party of up to 60 guests. Larger wedding ceremonies can be accommodated in the Great Hall.

The Oak Room can be used as a private dining room.

This sophisticated galleried room, which is adjoined to the Great Hall, can be used for reception, pre-dinner drinks, buffet etc. A fully stock bar run by the Town Hall is available.
The Long Room can also be booked separately for a host of small events and meetings,
There is also a Mezzanine between the Oak Room and the Long Room. This is an ideal space for welcoming and greeting guest.

Undercroft,Town hall, reception, venue for hire

The glass fronted Undercroft looks out onto to an original cobbled paving area and the centre of the town. This is an ideal space for community fundraising events, pop-up shops, exhibitions, food and craft fairs, etc. The Undercroft can accommodate up to 75 people standing or 50 people sitting.

A fully appointed commercial catering kitchen. We have a full stock of white ware, glasses, cutlery. Please come in and have a look and let us know what you require.

We would welcome Caterers to contact us if they wish to put on their own events or pop up restaurants.
